Rainbow Puzzle Busy Bag

Sometimes a busy bag activity is just the thing that a mom needs to get through the day, and this rainbow puzzle busy bag will do just that!  We love sharing busy little learning activities for quiet play for kids.  This rainbow puzzle busy bag is perfect for this time of year.

Rainbow busy bag to teach colors and rainbow order.

I started by cutting half circles from construction paper. I made each semi circle a bit larger with red being the largest. I then traced the archs to make a puzzle for the rainbow-builder. I wanted this puzzle to be self-correcting so that my kids could work on rainbow order with ease.

My little helper had to test the puzzle to make sure the pieces fit inside each other.

I then wrote the color names and ROY G BIV on each color initial for learning color order and color identification.  This easy busy bag activity has been pulled out a few times since we made it!
